Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are half way through the first quarter! Your child will be bringing home a progress report on Wednesday. This is a snapshot of their progress so far in fifth grade. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's grades, please contact me as soon as possible.
After School All Stars applications went home last week. If your child is interested in joining an after school club, please fill out the form and send it back to school.
Book orders went home and those are due by October 18.
What we are up to in class...
We are finishing up writing our personal narratives and will be sharing them with our fellow classmates this week.
We are continuing to learn about the cell. The information about the cell project will be coming home at the end of this week.
We are reviewing divisibility this week and we will be learning how to write about our thinking when solving problems.
We have been spending time in Social Studies talking about the first Native Americans to come to North America and are thinking about the reasons why they would come and about how their lives would have been.
We are also using many different strategies in reading to help us understand the text better and to figure out word meaning.
I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend and you can always reach me at [email protected] and don't forget to check out our website for homework and spelling words at barnardroom207.weebly.com.
Thank you and have a great week!
Ann Snyder
